How to Make Sand in Little Alchemy 2

3 Mins read

Many might believe that sand, which is all around the globe, must be an element of “Little Alchemy 2”.

Sand is a complex element that’s made up of many other complex elements. This means that players can’t create Sand by simply mixing two elements.

You can find more information on Little Alchemy 2’s ‘how-to-make’ guides: Electricity and Rain, Sky, Moon Lizard, Cloud, Human.

You must instead combine the elements of Air, Earth and Fire to create more complex elements that will allow you to make Sand.

There are seven ways you can make the Sand element in the game.

Start this process by trying out to understand the sand forms found in the real world. You can then create them in the game.

1. Make a Stone

Many people believe that sand is entirely made of tiny glass particles. While sandy beaches are made up of glass and people use it to make glass, most sand is made of minerals such as quartz and feldspar.

One stone can be made up of several minerals. The best method to create the Sand element is to first make a Stone element.

Stone can’t be made from just the four elements. To make stone, you need to apply pressure to any earth that has minerals. Create the Pressure element in “Little Alchemy 2” by multiplying the Air element:

  • Air + Air = Pressure

The icon of a pressure gauge appears below it with the words “The exertion or force upon an object by some other means than physical or figurative.”

With the Pressure element now, you can make a stone using the Earth element’s force:

  • Stone = Pressure + Earth

The screen shows a stone with the words “Breaker Of Bones and Other Such Valuables.”

You can create Stone from Lava and Air if you possess the Lava element. You can create Lava by combining Earth with Fire if you don’t have it yet.

2. Break the Stone and Erode it

Sand is formed when minerals and stones are broken down and eroded over time. Sand can form on beaches or other areas close to water due to the erosion and breakdown of bone, coral and shell.

Air is one element that aids in erosion. This means you can create Sand by combining Stone and Air. Drag and drop the Air element onto a Stone element:

  • Stone + Air = Sand

Onscreen, a pile of brightly golden sand is displayed with the words “A fine dust of stones that gets everywhere.”

Because Air can create Sand when it is combined with Stone, Air can also be used to make Sand if you have the Pebble and Rock elements.

These elements can only be made after you have created the Small element.

3. Other Options for Making Sand

You can only make sand with mineral-related elements in “Little Alchemy 2”, which means that you need the Stone, Pebble or Rock elements.

These elements cannot be combined with Air, the wind-related Wind element or the philosophy-based small element. You must be further along the game to create the latter.

However, the Wind element can be created once the Pressure element is complete:

  • Pressure + Air = Wind

As the Wind icon appears, a swirl of wind and green leaves appear.

Once you have collected Wind, drag it and drop it onto the Stone elements to create Sand.

Why do you need sand in Little Alchemy 2

Tiny grains of sand make up the Earth. Sand is not only found on sandy beaches, veins and clays, river gold and construction cement. Sand is everywhere, and it’s a common part of everyday life.

Sand is used by glassblowers and sculptors to create sculptures, and other art. To help people see the passing of time, sand is used to fill the hourglass’ fragile glass.

To create monuments and cities, ancient humans made walls out of sandstone. Sand is needed for its association with some animals and plants that are only found in sandy areas like deserts and beaches.

The Sand element is required by Little Alchemy 2 for the creation 20 related elements.

Find Your Inner Alchemist

You’ve now made Sand and the elements that are directly associated with it. Now it’s time for you to add more elements to your Sand collection.

If you go to the Beach element, for example, you will find the Coconut, Lighthouse Palm, Palm, Picnic and Seagull elements. You can also make Oasis and Pyramid from the Desert.

Clay can be used to make Brick, Potter, Pottery and Soap.

Anything made from glass is considered to be glass-related. This includes aquariums, greenhouses, lenses, mirrors, obsidians, prisms, and telescopes. You can make an Alchemist with Gold!
